Nicholas Hoffman is a guitar nut and is always hoping to get his hands on an interesting axe.

This one is a 2002 Wes Montgomery Model Gibson L5.

looks like a cowboy guitar huh?

Look out for those cutaways!

Here is Nicholas at a gig with organist Steve Czarnecki's Soul/Jazz Quintet in Santa Cruz CA, borrowing Steve's '61ish Barney Kessel Model Gibson. Note the cool inlay on the headstock that you you don't see on most BK's. That is if you see any to begin with.

The pinnacle of Japanese jazz guitar technology circa 1995. This is an Ibanez George Benson Model. GB10 for short.

a little biddy geetar...
looks like a peach doesn't it?

Here is Nicholas at Hadley Caliman's 71st birthday party with a '67 Gibson Super 400C fitted with two floating BJB pickups mounted on the pickguard. This one is a dream guitar...... Note: That's trombone legend Julian Priester on the left.

With the Northern Lights Jazz Orchestra, vocalist Christine Anderson, Nicholas, tenor icon Pete Christlieb and most interestingly a '49 Super 400C with McCarty pickup.

how do you get an electric
guitarist to turn down?
Oh my, it's a beaut

Here is a better picture of the old bird.

Below is a guitar summit in Osaka Japan at The Don Shop. Left, Yutaka Hashimoto (w/ a '56 Super 400C), drummer Kieth Micheal, Nicholas (w/ a Hofner Jazzica) and Hidefume Nose (w/ a guitar that appears to maybe be a Johnny Smith but not quite).
